FAQ

Quick questions

How early should we start?+

Ideally 6-12 weeks before travel; some destinations need longer for titer testing and quarantine planning.

Will my pet fly as cargo?+

Many international routes use manifest cargo with live-animal procedures and dedicated handling areas.

Can my pet fly in the cabin with me?+

If you want to bring your pet inside the aircraft cabin, this service is supported through our partner network.

Our team helps with recommendations, guidance, and the best options based on airline and destination country regulations. Note that each airline has different pet-in-cabin policies, including weight limits, carrier size, animal species, and certain flight routes.

In some cases, pets cannot always fly in the cabin with the owner. In that case, there is a chaperone option using a dedicated trip coordinator for pet-in-cabin handling, in line with applicable airline rules.

Our team helps keep your pet's journey safer, more comfortable, and compliant with international regulations.

Can Pet Travel Asia handle permits?+

Yes. We coordinate permits, health certificates, vet timing, and customs partners based on destination rules.

Is there an initial route review fee?+

We reply with an initial timeline and required documents before you decide the next step.

Why Pet Travel Asia

The network owners choose.

Six reasons owners trust our network with their pet's move.

Pan-Asia network

Local partners, vets, and customs agents across key Asia routes, not a single office model.

One coordinator

Owners speak with one person from plan to arrival release. No chasing multiple parties.

Regulatory-first

Permits and certificates are sequenced first, not patched on at the end. Nothing slips.

Vet prep sequence

Rabies, titer, vaccine, and health certificate timing planned backward from flight day.

IATA crate guidance

Crate sizing to live-animal standards, plus labeling and bedding done right.

Updates without asking

Status at every checkpoint goes out to owners without needing to be asked.

Full process

Eight steps, one coordinator.

Every country has its own sequence. We plan it backward from the flight date.

Route check

Verify origin, destination, breed, age, and current rules per country.

Microchip & ID

Confirm ISO microchip readability and identification.

Rabies & core vaccines

Schedule vaccines to meet minimum windows per destination.

Rabies titer

Arrange titer testing at an accredited lab when required.

Special handling

Snub-nose & sensitive breeds.

Brachycephalic dogs and cats face stricter airline restrictions. We choose routes, crate sizing, and timing that support these breeds.

  • Airlines that accept these breeds
  • Oversized crate for easier respiration
  • Avoid long transits or temperature embargo routes
