Pet export from Singapore, arranged door to door

Moving out of Singapore with a dog or cat means two sets of rules: what AVS needs before your pet can leave, and what the destination needs before your pet can land. Pet Travel Asia plans both sides as one schedule, then coordinates the vet visits, flight and arrival with our partner network.

What we handle

  • Route check first. We confirm the destination's entry conditions for your pet before any date is fixed, because the destination sets the outer timeline.
  • AVS export licence. We time the application so the licence is valid on departure day. An AVS export licence is valid for 90 days.
  • Vet health certificate. We line up the vet appointment with the certificate type the destination accepts. Its validity is separate from the licence and depends on the destination.
  • Flight and crate. Airline live-animal booking, IATA-compliant crate sizing and the check-in plan.
  • Arrival. Import permit, customs and pickup at the destination through our partner network.

Requirements change and differ by destination. A quote does not replace authority approval or airline confirmation.

How a Singapore departure is scheduled

  1. Step 1

    Destination first

Tell us where your pet is going. Some destinations need months of preparation, for example a rabies antibody test and waiting period; others only a few weeks.

  2. Step 2

    Records review

Microchip, rabies vaccination history and any earlier test results are checked against the destination's rules.

  3. Step 3

    Work backwards from the flight

Vet appointment, health certificate and AVS licence are timed so every document is still valid at check-in.

  4. Step 4

    Flight day

Airline handling in Singapore, then customs and delivery on arrival.

Singapore pet export FAQ

Do I need an export licence to take my pet out of Singapore?

Yes. Dogs and cats leaving Singapore need an AVS export licence, plus the health certificate and documents the destination country asks for.

How long is the AVS export licence valid?

90 days. The vet health certificate has its own validity, set by the destination and certificate type, so we time the vet visit close to the flight.

How early should I start?

It depends on the destination. Start by checking the destination's rules, since some countries require tests with waiting periods before the pet can travel.

Can you handle the arrival side too?

Yes. We coordinate the import permit, customs and delivery at the destination with our partner network, so you deal with one team from Singapore to the door.
